Got Questions?

Have some questions or want to know more about me? Check out this FAQ!
It's a bit like having a one on one interview with me. But if you'd like to get to know me even better,
feel free to contact me. I'd love to meet up and buy you coffee at my favorite coffee shop!

How would you describe your style?

Natural, photojournalistic, moody, and dreamy photos that capture moments and tell a story. I strive to capture the unique story and personality of each individual, couple, or family. This results in honest, real, and organic images.

Who is the photographer?

Me! Natalie Griffo! If you are having a wedding that necessitates a second shooter, I have a pool of talented professionals I am in relationship with that I will call on to assist me.

Do you do engagement sessions?

Yes I do! I would love to shoot your engagement session, even if you are planning on having your wedding somewhere else. I love to travel, and would love to capture your wedding day too!

Do you travel?

Yes! I love to travel! If you are having a destination wedding or session, take me with you and I will document the whole thing.

Do you charge extra for destination weddings and sessions?

I love adventure and shooting in new locations. I do not charge extra for travel, but simply ask that you cover the fees involved for myself, and a second shooter (i.e. gas for a small road trip, plane tickets, hotel stay, rental car, food, etc.).

Where are you based out of?

I am based out of beautiful and (mostly) sunny San Diego, California. Come visit and I'll take you to my favorite coffee shop, Ironsmith.

What are your wedding package and other session rates?

Get in touch with me for a pricing sheet, and we can put together a package that fits you.

What does full-day coverage mean?

It means exactly that: full-day photo coverage of your wedding day from start to finish. If you need to start getting ready at 6 am, I will be there. If your reception moments last into the wee hours of the morning, I can be there too. It's all up to you what your day consists of, and I will be there to capture it.

How do we book with you?

I require $500 of wedding costs at booking (the remainder is due on event date), and a signed contract. For all other sessions, I require 25% of costs at booking (the remainder is due on event date), and a signed contract.

How much time do you typically need for portraits before the ceremony?

I suggest that wedding parties are ready for photos about 2 hours before the start of the ceremony. This ensures that my team and I can shoot great photos without feeling super rushed for time. This also gives you time to relax after these photos, and freshen up before your ceremony.

What is a first look?

This is a moment that the bride and groom can take to see each other before the ceremony. This can be one of the most intimate moments of your day - and some of the most beautiful and emotional photographs can be captured during first looks. It is up to you whether you would like to do a first look, or see each other for the first time during the walk down the aisle.

What kind of gear do you use?

I shoot on a Canon 5D Mark III. I am always adding to and growing my gear bag.

How many photos will we receive?

Although numbers may vary, on average I usually deliver between 300-400 photos for a full wedding with two shooters.

What are your albums and prints like?

Great question! You can see some information and a few examples on my Products page.

Are you using social media?

Of course! Confession time, I'm kind of an Instagram junkie. You can get connected with me using the "Connect" drop-down menu at the top right of my website.

Are you married?

Yes! You can learn more about me by visiting the About page.

What are your favorite things to do?

Well obviously I love photography! But in addition to freezing moments in time (I like to think of it as a sort of superpower), I also love blogging, food fashion and home styling, cooking, watercolor painting, hand lettering, instagramming, dance partying, DIYing, going on adventures, traveling, shopping, drinking really really good coffee, and so much more.
